John Fraissinet
Living and working in the New York City area allows me the privilege to observe the city from a local perspective. I now focus on street photography but previously spent a good deal of time as a travel photographer (including more than 10,000 miles on bicycle).
So, I first started with photography when I received an enlarger as my high school graduation present, setting up a makeshift darkroom in my basement. My interest in sports started providing subjects... local baseball, the NY City Marathon and the Olympics.
Street photography is my current passion. People on the street, the dynamics of crowds, commuters, pedestrians, street vendors, policemen, tourists. There's a certain art that I find on the street.
