Eyes

They could have been looking at the One World Trade Center which is across the street the other way.  But, I'm not quite sure is over this direction.  If you include the guy in the back, they are all looking in slightly different directions.  But, all with curiosity.

Gradient View

The bad weather is starting.  I always liked this block and the geometric lines.  It is especially interesting when the fog rolls in.

The Show's Over

Not sure where you end up if you drive through this gate.  Sure seems like it's a long trip off a short pier.

Grounded

I guess striking in front of the New York Stock Exchange can get you some attention.  I'm not sure what the gripe is here, but these FedEx pilots were none too happy.  I've seen strikers before, but none as stern as this group.

Got Lucky

Every morning construction workers take their breakfast break from the work they are doing on the World Trade Center site.  There are these massive boulders in place to serve as protection for the site against any kind of terrorist activity.  They leave very small places for the tourists and commuters to get through.  And, then the construction workers sit on the boulders and make it even harder to pass.  But, they don't care.  They are enjoying themselves.  Especially this guy, who looks pretty cheerful at this time in the morning.  I'm guess he had a good night.

A River Cruise

A lunch cruise on a river boat on a beautiful Fall day to see the leaves turn.  On this day, however, there were not many leaves yet ready to turn.  So, we just enjoyed the ride, and the lunch, and a little bit of alcohol.

I hadn't recently seen the Upper West Side from this perspective.  I was struck as to how consistent the buildings looked up here.  Someone asked me if I made a composite and stitched together the buildings to look the same.  But, they actually look like this.  You can see the Henry Hudson Parkway skirting the Hudson River at the base of the buildings.

The Upper West Side

A little further south along the river is the Cruise Ship terminal.  As busy as the river traffic is, there are large boats and the little boats sharing the space together.

Art Be Gone

This is wall of a drug store right next to New York City police headquarters.  I guess this beautiful mural was past its expiration date and it was being powerwashed off.
