Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 3:02PM On Veterans Day (and Columbus Day), Broadway is shut down and the street vendors have full reign. The crowded streets do have a consistent and mundane assortment of regular vendors. After going one pass down the street to the end, I came back and looked at the isolated people who were hanging around appearing somewhat lonely.

Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:13AM In my days living in Brooklyn, I became familiar with Coney Island has it was about a 30 minute bike ride from my apartment in Park Slope. I had not been there in the 20 years since until this week. Much of it was the same, but it was nicer and more polished in many ways. Here are a variety of shots from the visit over a couple of posts.

Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 7:45PM I was listening to the music from the broadway show "Hamilton" and there was a reference to Hamilton (or his wife) being buried at Trinity Church. As it stands, I walk past that Church almost daily in my photo walks and have taken photos in the cemetery on the northern side of the Church.
I went back to take a closer look to see if I could find the grave. After revisiting my familiar grounds on the north side, heading in through the gates below, I viewed the footbridge over to the building across Church Street where the American Stock Exchange used to sit.
I had never visited the south cemetery though and found my target. The last resting spot of Mr. Hamilton and his wife was on an elevated section of the cemetery just across the street from a bargain shoe store.

Monday, October 26, 2015 at 12:13PM "He'd fly through the air with the greatest of ease, That daring young man on the flying trapeze. His movements were graceful, all girls he could please And my love he purloined away."
You want all the lyrics? Here they are. I didn't realize how dramatic the tale was.
