Picture of What?

Walking through Chinatown, I liked the composition of the gates down on the store and the brightly painted fire escape above.  I was framing the camera when this woman came out of the doorway on the right.  I didn't move and continued working on composing the shot.  She was absolutely baffled as to why I was taking a picture here.  She stared at me all through her walk across the frame.  I thought her purple coat added a nice accent to the shot.

Chinatown Hydrant

It was nice that someone went to the trouble of painting a brick wall red.  This was in Chinatown and the light came down in a pattern caused by a fire escape.
